Nikki Reed on 'Twilight' cast: "We're not all best friends"

Nikki Reed has revealed that success has ruined some friendships within the Twilight cast.

Reed explained that her Twilight co-stars were "one big happy family" prior to the first film's release, but superstardom eventually caused tensions to develop.

"Success came along and changed the dynamic. We're not all best friends, and we're not all going to hang out together after the final movie is done," the actress told Seventeen.

Reed went on to say: "It was very, very sad. Let's just leave it at that. Attachments grow when you're working with the same people for so long.

"People are friends, people fall in love, people get in fights. We're not all robots in that way. Sure, things have gone on, and it's weird to have them be in the public eye."

Reed declined to discuss which Twilight stars had caused the alleged rifts.

On Monday (November 14), Reed debuted a duet with husband Paul McDonald and hinted that the couple may collaborate on more songs in the future.

The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1 is released in cinemas worldwide on Friday (November 18).
