'American Idol' winner Ruben Studdard files for divorce

The season two champion cited "irreconcilable differences" in his legal papers, according to the Daily Mail.
Studdard's laywer said: "Ruben Studdard and Zuri McCants Studdard have separated, and they are in the process of seeking a dissolution of their marriage.
"They each request the public respects their privacy during this trying time in their lives."
Studdard and McCants married in a ceremony attended by around 200 guests - including 20 groomsmen - near the singer's hometown of Birmingham, Alabama in 2008 after dating for two years.
At the time, he said: "God has given me a beautiful wife. I am looking forward to having fun with her and enjoying all the blessings that have come my way so far."
