Doherty to return to rehab next week

Pete Doherty has decided to check into rehab for a fifth time on Monday.

The Babyshambles frontman has cancelled next week's Ibiza Rocks gig and will instead try to finally fight his drug addiction.

"We were all really looking forward to welcoming Babyshambles back to the island this year for Ibiza Rocks but, at the end of the day, we love and support Pete and it's his health and happiness that are important," tour promoter Andy McKay explained in a statement.

"He's promised us that he'll celebrate his recovery with a special comeback gig at Ibiza Rocks so we can't argue with that."

Doherty was spotted meeting up with former bandmate Carl Barat in North London this week.

A source told The Mirror, "Meeting Carl on Tuesday encouraged him to really make a go of it this time."
