The hair company fronted by Shane Warne has been slammed for its new slogan.

Advanced Hair's latest television advertisement, which featured ambassador Warne wearing a t-shirt with the phrase "No Hair, No Life", was deemed offensive by cancer charities and patients.

Complainant and cancer patient Kate Alexander told the Herald Sun: "I couldn't bear the idea of someone just being told they were going to lose their hair and then being told that without hair they had no life." The Anti-Cancer Council also objected to the advert.

Advanced Hair Studio CEO Stephen Jeffery has now confirmed that the clinic has decided to remaster the clip and digitally black out the offending slogan. He said that the company did not mean to offend anyone, but insisted that the motto would not be axed altogether.

"Advanced Hair Studio, and in particular Shane Warne, understand that for millions of people around the world suffering from hair loss no hair does mean no life," he added.

Warne, who recently announced his engagement to Elizabeth Hurley, has been the subject of rumours of cosmetic surgery since he shed weight earlier this year, but he has denied all allegations.
