Jessica Simpson in talks with Weight Watchers

Jessica Simpson is reportedly close to signing a $4 million deal with Weight Watchers.

The 31-year-old actress was said to have been close to a deal with the weight loss company before she fell pregnant with her partner Eric Johnson's baby.

If a deal is signed, she will follow the Weight Watchers plan while she attempts to lose weight after giving birth next year.

"She had been set to sign with them, but then she got pregnant," a source told Us magazine. "So this was the perfect compromise."

The contract would mean that Simpson would have a year in which to "lose a significant amount of weight".

Simpson recently denied that she would be giving birth to twins.
