Kelly Rowland: 'I refuse to miss the birth of Beyoncé's baby'

Kelly Rowland has insisted on being present for the birth of Beyoncé's baby.

The 'Down For Whatever' singer said that sharing such an important experience with her friend and former Destiny's Child bandmate is something she does not want to miss out on.

"My best friend had a baby and I wasn't there to see the baby born. I get choked up even now talking about it because I wasn't there. So now it's important to me to share those moments with my friends and with my family," Rowland told the Daily Mail.

"I wouldn't miss the birth of Beyoncé's baby. I can't. I don't want to miss those moments. It's life happening to people that I love and I want to be a part of it. I watched my best friend's baby being born on Skype."

Beyoncé announced in August that she is expecting her first child with husband Jay-Z early next year.

Rowland is thought to have accidentally revealed the sex of Beyoncé's baby earlier this month by repeatedly referring to the child as "she" during an interview.
