David Hasselhoff was told that he was too drunk to fly home to Los Angeles yesterday.
The former Baywatch star attracted attention at Heathrow Airport's VIP lounge at 8am on Wednesday - ranting about how his life is a "mess" following his marriage split.
"It was terrible to see David Hasselhoff in such a sorry state so early in the morning," an onlooker revealed. "He looked in a very bad way."
Another added, "He was drinking alone and staring into space. He started ranting incoherently. It was clear he was talking about his wife and the messy divorce."
Hasselhoff was instructed by British Airways staff to take some time to sleep before catching a later flight.
A spokesperson for BA confirmed, "A male passenger was denied boarding on the BA279 Heathrow to Los Angeles service because he was deemed unfit for travel. He was assessed later and passed fit to fly on BA283."
