Geoffrey Edelsten's ex-wife warns Brynne Edelsten: "Be very careful"

Geoffrey Edelsten's ex-wife Leanne has warned his current wife to be "very careful".

In an interview on last night's episode of A Current Affair, Leanne described her marriage to the 68-year-old medical entrepreneur as a "marketing gimmick" and labelled her former spouse as "extremely dodgy".

Leanne said: "I mean, I was his wife and I was solely aware of what he was doing, but as far as being dragged along for the purposes of the business, I was exactly that. The ex-wife's advice to Brynne is, 'I don't know what he's got you signing, darling, but I'd be very careful'."

Geoffrey, who divorced Leanne in 1989, has accused her of keeping his surname so that she can "attract money from the media" and get some "sensationalism".

Leanne hit back, claiming that Geoffrey is lying when he said that he wants to have children with 28-year-old Brynne.

"I mean, the man's 68," she said. "I can't see him changing nappies at two in the morning... but hey, I could be proved wrong."

Earlier this year, Brynne appeared on the Aussie version of Dancing with the Stars. Host Sonia Kruger caused controversy when she referred to Geoffrey as Brynne's "dad" during one of the live shows, but later apologised.
