Rihanna designs Emporio Armani fashion collection

Rihanna has designed her first clothing collection as part of the Giorgio Armani fashion house.

The 'We Found Love' singer created a casual range of t-shirts, jeans and underwear for the Emporio Armani Underwear and Armani Jeans lines of the designer label.

Rihanna has said that the jeans - which are available in both boyfriend and skinny cuts - are her favourite pieces in the collection, describing them as "a slightly rocky feel, fabulously sexy with a strong, masculine edge".

Many of the items in the collection bear Rihanna's signature "R" logo, in a Zorro-style script. Leather jackets and canvas bags are also included in the collection.

An Armani spokesperson has pointed to Rihanna's "youthful, modern and captivating spirit" as the reason behind the collaboration, which will hit stores later this month.

Earlier this year, Rihanna signed on as the face of Emporio Armani's underwear and jeans collection and went on to appear in print and video campaigns.
