Chaz Bono presents fiancée with engagement ring

Chaz Bono has presented his long-term fiancée with an engagement ring.

The Dancing With The Stars contestant, who completed gender reassignment surgery in May last year, proposed to girlfriend Jennifer Elia back in 2009.

Bono, however, had been unable to follow up the engagement with a diamond ring until a recent trip to Seattle to celebrate Elia's birthday.

The happy moment was filmed for an episode of Bono's reality show Being Chaz, which will air on OWN tomorrow (November 27).

"Wow, it's gorgeous - thank you so much," Elia says in leaked footage. "It's stunning. It's huge. What he did was romantic. Who would have thought Seattle would be so special?"

Bono added: "I wanted to pick a special place to give her her birthday present."

Bono, son of Cher and the late Sonny Bono, announced in May that he wanted to marry Elia within the year.
