Michael Lohan's heart surgery 'postponed after blood clots are found'

Michael Lohan's planned heart surgery has been postponed, according to a report.

Sources tell TMZ that doctors have discovered more blood clots in one of his lungs which they need to treat prior to the operation.

Yesterday, it was reported that he requires a stent in his heart after undergoing a number of urgent medical tests.

The 51-year-old, who previously underwent heart surgery in February, was taken to hospital from his residential rehab facility in Florida on Thursday.

In the last month, Lohan has been embroiled in a domestic violence case involving ex-fiancée Kate Major.

Daughter Lindsay was recently sentenced to 30 days in jail for probation violence, but only served four-and-a-half hours due to overcrowding.
