Flatley to sue woman who claimed rape
Published Friday, Jul 28 2006, 18:06 BST | By David Cribb
Michael Flatley is free to proceed with his lawsuit against the woman who claimed he raped her.
The Supreme Court in California ruled that Flatley's case for extortion, fraud and defamation should be allowed to go ahead, after the woman's lawyers tried to have it dismissed.
Tyna Marie Robertson brought an $18 million case against the Riverdance star, claiming sexual assault, but the case was dismissed by authorities. Flatley then brought his own case against her, which will continue as planned after the ruling.
