Jules Egan, who is due to give birth to her first child with Australian singer Sebastian in March next year, said that she felt a bit cheated when Keating was tricked into revealing her baby news by Kyle Sandilands on live radio.
Egan told New Idea magazine: "[I felt] a bit ripped off. I was having my three-month scan that afternoon so if we'd just had one more day then we could have announced it ourselves. It's a big moment and we were more than happy to share it with the country, but we wanted to make sure everything was okay."
Sebastian said that his X Factor Australia colleague Keating called to apologise to him afterwards.
"He was gutted and felt awful," he revealed. "I told him it wasn't his fault - and it wasn't. He's one of my best friends and one of the most decent and generous blokes I've ever met."
The couple said that they have found out the sex of the baby and have agreed on a name, but have decided to keep it a secret. Sebastian admitted that he gets scared about bringing a child into a world that is "screwed up", but said that he will do everything in his power to ensure that his baby is always happy.
Egan also said that she has been craving watermelon and burgers, but is enjoying the feeling of her baby kicking insider her tummy.
