Rumours circulated online earlier today claiming that Perry had filed for divorce.
However, The Mirror's showbiz editor Dean Piper tweeted: "Spoken to Russell Brand's peeps. Internet rumour - escalated out of control. Will check but we've not heard anything."
The couple's representatives have not yet publicly commented on the reports.
It is thought that the speculation was sparked by a bogus Twitter account, with journalist Dan Wooton writing: "Can't believe all the journalists who were sucked in by a fake Twitter profile claiming Katy Perry had filed for divorce from Russell Brand."
Brand and Perry married last October in a private Hindu ceremony in India.
'E.T' singer Perry earlier this month revealed her intention to have children with the Forgetting Sarah Marshall star.
