Sara Gilbert on Linda Perry romance: 'I wanted to tell on my terms'

Sara Gilbert has confirmed rumours that she is in a relationship with music producer and 4 Non Blondes singer Linda Perry.

The pair were first linked earlier this week after being photographed holding hands while out in Los Angeles.



During Tuesday's broadcast of CBS chat show The Talk, Gilbert confessed that she and Perry are an item but that they hoped to conceal the romance a while longer.

"The other day I was just out, and the paparazzi were there," she said, as the photo in question was displayed.

"All these articles are out that I'm in a new relationship. I go online, and it's on CNN... it's weird."

However, Gilbert insisted that she was happy for others to know about her involvement with Perry, saying: "I do want to share [the news] with you... but I want to do it on my terms, in full hair and make-up."

Gilbert split from long-time partner Alison Adler in August after ten years of dating.
