Hugh Jackman: 'My daughter thinks my show is boring'

Hugh Jackman has revealed that his little girl Ava gives him a hard time about his work.

The 43-year-old Australian actor, who also has son Oscar with wife Deborra-Lee Furness, said that his 6-year-old daughter recently criticised his current theatre show Hugh Jackman Back on Broadway.

Jackman told chatshow Anderson: "About a week ago [my kids] came on a Sunday matinee. I said, 'Guys, look, you can be honest with me. Do you like the show?' My [11-year-old] son Oscar says, 'I really like it'. I was touched. My daughter said, 'I find it a little boring'."

He added that Ava hid under her seat in the auditorium when he came into the audience to serenade Furness. He said: "My daughter, oh, my God. I sing a song for my wife in the show and sometimes I go out to the crowd. My daughter literally hides under the seat in front. She dies."

Jackman said that he is "the strict" parent and admitted that he reads "every book" for advice on how to be a good dad.

Earlier this year, Jackman revealed that recent action film Real Steel was the first of his movies that his children loved.
