Kris Humphries files Kim Kardashian annulment papers

Kris Humphries has responded to Kim Kardashian's divorce petition with a request to have their 72-day marriage annulled.
The couple married in a lavish ceremony filmed by E! on August 20 this year. However, reality star Kardashian filed for divorce on October 31, citing irreconcilable differences in her petition to the court.

Annulment papers filed by Humphries yesterday (November 30) have now been obtained by TMZ, and they appear to confirm earlier reports that the basketball player wants to have the marriage struck out on grounds of fraud.
He has asked the court for a decree of legal separation on grounds of irreconcilable differences, if it will not grant him an annulment.
A decree of legal separation in the state of California, where the papers have been filed, effectively dissolves a marriage. However, it is not a divorce and neither party is free to marry again legally.
Annulments are usually retroactive in legal terms, and if one is granted it is as though the marriage never took place.
Humphries has also asked the court to refuse any request for spousal support from Kardashian, and wants his estranged wife to pay legal fees and costs.
