Brooke Mueller arrested for cocaine possession

Brooke Mueller has reportedly been arrested on suspicion of felony cocaine possession.

The former wife of Charlie Sheen was taken into custody last night in Aspen, Colorado, TMZ reports.

Law enforcement sources told the website that Mueller was also booked on a misdemeanor third degree assault charge, although further details were unavailable.

She was apparently released from the Pitkin County jail this morning after posting bail of $11,000.

Mueller has battled substance abuse in the past, most recently checking into an "extreme" rehabilitation centre in Mexico in July.

She is also attempting to build bridges with her estranged husband Sheen, with the couple insisting they are "good friends trying to be great parents".
