Khloe Kardashian served with assault, battery lawsuit

Khloe Kardashian is facing a lawsuit for an alleged assault and battery.

The reality TV star was accused of attacking Chantal Spears in December 2009 in papers filed at the LA Superior Court on Friday.

According to E! Online, the suit alleges that Kardashian "assaulted and battered [Spears] by violently striking [Spears] in and about her body" on the Sunset Strip, and that the incident left Spears "in great fear for her life and physical well-being".

Spears has also reportedly requested general and punitive damages and medical expenses as compensation. Kardashian herself has not yet made any comment on the suit.

Kardashian recently hit back on Twitter at those who mocked recently-published photographs of her wearing no make-up while at the gym.

The 27-year-old also announced this week that she is "overjoyed" that her older sister Kourtney is expecting her second child with boyfriend Scott Disick.
