'The Gates' star Rhona Mitra sued for car crash

Rhona Mitra is facing a lawsuit in connection to a car accident earlier this year.

The former Lara Croft model allegedly caused a crash involving her 2002 Mercedes Benz G500, which is said to have collided into a motorcycle.

A female biker is suing Mitra for "causing severe injuries" to herself and damaging her vehicle in the crash in Venice, California in March.

The alleged victim is demanding the Gates actress pay her $25,000 for hospital bills and for her bike to be repaired, according to TMZ.

Mitra's representatives have reportedly been told by police that she was not to blame for causing the crash, and that both sets of insurance companies are working to find an agreement.

The British actress starred in the Timothy Spall comedy Reuniting the Rubins earlier this year.
