The ARIA Award-nominated Australian singer, who recently released her latest single 'Galaxy' featuring Stan Walker, said that she thought she was going to die when the floor beneath her seat on an American Airlines flight to Los Angeles started moving.
Mauboy told The Daily Telegraph: "It was quite terrifying and I didn't want to show it. [I'm always] the smiling one, being happy. It was huge. It sounded like a sick engine for 35 minutes.
"[However], I've always believed [in] things that are meant to be [and that should] happen that way. David, my manager, was looking at me and I was like, 'Don't give me that look because everything's going to be okay'."
Mauboy said that she is really looking forward to her first headline national tour with Walker, which kicks off on January 13.
She said: "I've been really nervous, [but] it's going to be really nice to be on that stage with everyone."
Earlier this year, Mauboy was named 'Female Artist of the Year' at the annual Indigenous awards show in Australia.
