Peter Kay hosted a technical fault-ridden Royal Variety Performance in Salford, Greater Manchester last night (December 5).
Attended by Princess Anne, the 99th annual event was staged at The Lowry Theatre. Artists including Leona Lewis, Cee Lo Green, Pixie Lott, Nicole Scherzinger and Britain's Got Talent champion Jai McDowall performed.
Meanwhile, The Mirror reports that problems struck Barry Manilow during his medley of 'Mandy' and 'Can't Smile Without You', which resulted in him returning to the stage to perform for a second time.
The show, which will be broadcast on ITV1 on December 14, ended with a tribute to Queen, which was led by Cee Lo Green and Leona Lewis singing 'Somebody To Love'.
