Giaan Rooney marries Sam Levett in private ceremony

Giaan Rooney has married Sam Levett.

The 29-year-old Australian former Olympic swimmer, who got engaged to helicopter pilot Levett in February after a one year relationship, wore a custom-made Helen Manuell white gown to exchange vows with her husband-to-be at his family's farm in Euroa on Saturday (December 3).

According to the Herald Sun, the couple's small group of family and friends then went on to a private reception at the Euroa Butter Factory, where Levett is said to have almost brought Rooney to tears with his speech.

Rooney recently said that she wanted a "private" wedding, but the duo are believed to have inked a deal to share details and photos of their special day with a magazine.

Dress designer Manuell said: "Giaan looked absolutely amazing and she's very happy."

Radio personality Tom Elliott and girlfriend Elise Mooney surprised their friends and family by tying the knot during their 'joint birthday party' at the weekend, while X Factor judge Natalie Bassingthwaighte also wed long-term partner and former bandmate Cameron McGlinchey this weekend.
