Eva Longoria has admitted that she is glad she was an ugly child.
The Desperate Housewives star believes that being an "ugly duckling" and finding fame later in life has allowed her to keep her feet on the ground.
"I'm glad I wasn't a pretty girl, because now I can fully appreciate how being pretty works for you," Eva is quoted by the Daily Star as saying. "I wasn't successful as an actress until I was 30 and I'm glad about that too. All this would have gone to my head if it had happened 10 years ago. I wouldn't have known how to handle it."
