Peter Andre: 'I wish Katie Price marriage hadn't ended the way it did'

Peter Andre has said that returning to I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! made him feel "sad" about his failed marriage to Katie Price.
The singer met his ex-wife when they both took part in the ITV1 reality series in 2004. They divorced in 2009, after three and a half years of marriage.

"Obviously, I thought a bit about my ex-wife and the past when I was in the jungle, but I looked back on what we had with nothing but fond memories," Andre wrote in his New magazine column.
"It made me feel a bit sad that things didn't work out and I wish it hadn't ended the way it did, but when I think about the beautiful children we had as a result of being on the show, I have no regrets.
"I know I made the right decision in my life and I could never go back, but I do really hope we'll be friends."
Andre admitted that a joke he made about finding love in the jungle had not gone down well with a number of his Twitter followers.

He explained: "I made a joke with Ant and Dec about how no-one should ever have a jungle romance, but it was scripted and they asked me to do it for a laugh. I texted Kate to warn her as I wanted her to know that it was only a bit of fun, but I don't think she was watching anyway.
"I got so much abuse on Twitter afterwards, as people thought I was being disrespectful to my marriage! I can assure you I wasn't, I was only messing around!"
Meanwhile, referencing a tweet that he received from Price prior to his venture back to the Australian jungle, Andre insisted that he doesn't know "what she was referring to".
