The Saturday Night Live head writer revealed that he held a number of internships at the beginning of his career, but was not always able to maintain his focus while on the job.
"I've gotten bad employee reviews at the end of jobs," Meyers told US Weekly.
"I had an internship once at Comedy Central in college and they said I worked really hard for five weeks and then I spent the rest of it watching The Kids in the Hall. They weren't wrong."
Meyers recently insisted that he enjoys hearing criticism about Saturday Night Live and considers it vital to the show's continued success.
He recently sparred with fellow comedian Colin Quinn over the Penn State scandal, after Quinn insisted that not enough time has passed to make fun of the situation.
