Peter Andre has said that the conclusion of a recent court case between himself and Katie Price won't affect their attempts at being friends.
The couple divorced in 2009 after three and a half years of marriage. However, despite having had a temperamental relationship since then, Andre told ITV's Daybreak that he and Price are "trying to build bridges to be friends for the sake of the kids".

"You know, you get to a point where you sort of think, you don't want anything bad said about the mother of your kids; I'm sure she doesn't want anything bad said about me. And we're just trying to build those bridges, that's all," he explained. "The kids need that happy environment."
Asked if the court case, which saw Price apologise for comments made about her ex-husband and agree to pay damages, would cause problems, Andre said: "No it's not, because the thing is this was going on for years.
"We met about a month ago and sorted it all out through mediation, and that's when we said, that's when I turned around and said, 'Why don't we just start looking forward and forget the past?' So it was almost a good day in a lot of ways."
Discussing his own love life, the 38-year-old added that he expects to be single for "a while", admitting that he keeps his "barriers up".
