Russell Brand has said that it was his wife Katy Perry's idea for them to have tattoos done together over Thanksgiving.
The couple both had tattoos inked backstage at the Staples Centre in Los Angeles following Perry's latest performance on her 'California Dreams Tour'.
Speaking on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Wednesday, Brand said: "It was her idea. It's always her idea, she's always scribbling permanent things on my body for a laugh and I'm always allowing it to happen!"

Showing off his tattoo of the West Ham United team logo on a peppermint swirl background on his upper arm, he said: "Look at this bloody thing. I at least had the common sense to do the football team I support in England, and in the background there is a candy cane swirl that defines her aesthetic ideology.
"I thought the only way I can make this thing not be the act of a sissy is carve a football hooligan thing into my flesh so that's what I've done."
As for what tattoo Perry had opted for, he said: "Some peppermint thing. Nothing to do with me! It's to do with her!"
Brand was on the show to promote the charity event 'Love Exchange', which takes place at the Wiltern Theatre in Los Angeles on December 11.
Fans have to donate time to a charity in order to receive a ticket to the event, which also features Sarah Silverman.
