Kris Humphries on Kim Kardashian split: 'I'm moving forward'

By
Kris Humphries has said that he is focused on "moving forward" following his split from Kim Kardashian.

Kardashian filed for divorce from the basketball player on October 31 after 72 days of marriage, and he later responded to her petition by lodging a request to have their union annulled, or a legal separation if that was not granted.

In his first post-split interview with Good Morning America, Humphries said: "Through everything I'm just focused on family and preparing for basketball. It's always something I've taken really seriously and I continue to do that. I'm just moving forward".

When asked whether having their relationship play out on TV had been a factor in the split, he replied: "I can't say for sure or not for sure. It's the only time I've been married.

"For me it's all about moving forward and being excited about the opportunity to give back through my foundation and do great things. Life is more about how you can help people and make the most of your platform, so that's what I'm really focused on."

Humphries was also asked if he believed the split had altered public perception of him, responding: "I think that if people know me and know who I am and what I stand for, they know I give back and I'm a fun guy.

"I don't really play into all the gossip and things that take place."

As for whether he still loves Kardashian, he would only say: "I'm focused on what I can control which is being ready to play ball."

Humphries and Kardashian married at a ceremony in Montecito, California on August 20, which later aired as a two-part special called Kim's Fairytale Wedding on E!
