Jimmy Carr has written about comedy in his tome The Naked Jape, Stewart Lee (and before him Lenny Bruce) weave intricate critiques of stand-up into their own work, but it's rare to get a comedian to sit down and deconstruct the art and history of what they do.
So, when we caught up with Ross Noble to talk about his new DVD The Headspace Cowboy we quizzed him all about where stand-up is and where it's going. As Ross says - strap yourselves in for this one, as he talks us through the new mainstream stand-ups and predicts a punk future for comedy.
