Leighton Meester's mother drops $3 million lawsuit against her

Leighton Meester's mother Constance has dropped her $3 million ($1.8 million) lawsuit against her daughter.

The Gossip Girl actress filed a claim against her mother earlier this year after Constance was found to have spent funds allocated for her son's medical expenses on various cosmetic procedures, botox treatments and hair extensions.

Constance also filed a counter-suit at that time for $3 million, claiming that Leighton owed her as she sacrificed her own life to ensure her daughter's success.

While E! Online reports that Constance is no longer seeking the money, Leighton is still insisting upon drawing up documents which explicitly state that she does not owe her any cash.

"Leighton is still seeking declaratory relief from the court, which we hope to have wrapped up in the very near future," said the actress's lawyer James Spertus.

In July, Constance claimed that she was attacked and hit in the head with a bottle by Leighton in December 2010.
