Lamar Odom 'emotional' over Dallas Mavericks trade

Lamar Odom has confessed that he was emotional when he first learned that he was being traded from the Los Angeles Lakers to the Dallas Mavericks.

The basketball player and husband of reality star Khloe Kardashian revealed that he found it difficult to control his emotions when he first heard of the trade.

"It was emotional," Odom told Dan Patrick on his radio show this morning (December 13). "Sometimes I think about the situation, it's hard for me to control my emotions... Sometimes you have to put that to the side."

He went on to speak about his feelings regarding the trade, admitting that he was shocked when he first heard news of the move.

"Shocked, surprised, you know?" Odom said when asked how he felt about the move. "Took me for a loop, but [Dallas is] a great place to play. Great team and I take pride in helping them try to defend their championship."

Finally, he praised his wife, saying that she has been very supportive of him during this difficult time.

"Khloe'll be here Friday, making my hotel room into a home," Odom said, adding that she looks beautiful in the Dallas Mavericks team colours.

"Khloe looks great in everything," he said.

Kardashian confessed that she was sad about the trade, saying that she knows the move is being made for a reason.

The reality star previously admitted that she is struggling to get pregnant.
