Tom Cruise: 'I want to star in a film with David Beckham'
Tom Cruise has revealed that he would like to star in an action movie alongside David Beckham.
The Mission: Impossible star joked that his close friend Beckham would "kick ass" if he were to follow in the footsteps of footballer Vinnie Jones by taking up acting after he retires.
"I'd love to do action movies with Beckham," Cruise told the Daily Mirror.
"He would be great, he could kick ass."
Beckham has previously dismissed chances of starring in movies, saying: "I've had some offers but I'm not interested. I'm a terrible actor, I did a bit in Goal! playing myself and I looked rigid."
Last year, Cruise denied reports linking the footballer with a role in Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol.
The actor has also revealed that he will continue to make action films after he turns 50.
