Selena Gomez needs protection from me, says 'stalker' Thomas Brodnicki

Selena Gomez's alleged stalker Thomas Brodnicki has admitted that he is a danger to the star.

Last month, the former Wizards of Waverly Place actress received an extension on her original restraining order against Brodnicki after receiving death threats from him.

While a judge dismissed charges against Brodnicki in November, he has been held in a psychiatric facility which has prevented him from appearing in court.

However, according to legal documents obtained by TMZ, Brodnicki has urged the court to make the protection order against him permanent in order to ensure Gomez's safety.

"I believe that a restraining order should be issued against me to prevent me from trying to contact Selena Gomez," he stated in an official filing with the court.

"I do not wish to object to the restraining order against me because I know it is the only thing that will make me stay away from Selena."

Brodnicki claimed to have had "over 50 conversations with God a day about killing Ms Gomez".
