Lindsay Lohan 'Playboy' concept was my idea, says Hugh Hefner

Hugh Hefner has revealed that the concept behind Lindsay Lohan's Playboy cover shoot was his idea.

Lohan appeared fully nude in the photos which were leaked online earlier this month, causing Playboy to push the issue's release date forward.

Hefner has now confessed that while Lohan's family was hesitant about the actress appearing fully nude, he pushed her to do it as he felt it was integral to making the feature memorable.

"The pictorial and the concept... it came from me. I think it was essentially mama [Dina] and the folks around her that kept pushing for less nudity," Hefner explained to E News.

"And I said, 'We're doing a nude pictorial here. We're going to do it in a very classy way and we're going to do it in a way in which it will not be forgotten'."

Lohan has said that her Playboy shoot gave her confidence as a woman.
