Scarlett Johansson has complained that she hates being called 'ScarJo' by the press.

The We Bought A Zoo actress expressed her annoyance with the nickname in an interview with USA Today.

"It's laziness. People can't actually say the whole name? It's just bizarre… If I hear somebody say that, I know I don't know them at all," Johansson declared.

She went on to wonder why fellow actor Daniel Day-Lewis hasn't been branded "DaDay".

Johansson added: "So Cate Blanchett is not, like, 'CaBla'? Why is that? Why do I have to get stuck with a mangled moniker?"

Earlier this week, Johansson revealed that she was never interested in playing Marilyn Monroe in the hit film My Week With Marilyn.

We Bought A Zoo is now playing on limited release in US cinemas and opens more widely on December 23. The film hits the UK on March 16, 2012.
