Tom Cruise will have to take pay cut

Tom Cruise may be forced to take a pay cut before landing any more roles, according to recent reports.

The actor's latest film Mission: Impossible III disappointed at the box office, and Hollywood executives are now apparently adamant that they cannot continue to dish out massive pay checks to secure him for their films.

Cruise's 13-year contract with Paramount recently lapsed, and insiders now say the star will have to undergo a “financial adjustment and reality check”.

A source told The Sunday Times: “Right now he is simply too expensive to employ.”
