Nick Lachey: 'There's no urgency to have kids with Vanessa'

Nick Lachey has insisted that he is in no rush to have kids with wife Vanessa.

The couple, who married in a private ceremony in July, have previously said that they are looking forward to starting a family.

However, Lachey has since revealed that while he and Vanessa would love to become parents, they are letting nature take its course and not rushing the process.

"I don't think there's necessarily any timetable for it," Nick told People.

"We're definitely excited about being parents at some point, but I think whenever that happens, we'll embrace it and be excited for it.There's no real sense of urgency at this point."

Vanessa recently confessed that having kids with Nick is "the next natural step" in their relationship.

She said: "I do love my work and what I do, but Nick is more important to me than anything in this world - soon my children will be the second most important thing to me."
