Robert De Niro becomes father again at 68

Robert De Niro has become a father again at the age of 68.

The Oscar winner and his wife Grace Hightower welcomed a daughter named Helen Grace by a surrogate mother, a representative has confirmed.

The couple already have a child together, 13-year-old Elliot.

De Niro also fathered a son named Raphael during his first marriage to Diahnne Abbott and has twin boys, Julian and Aaron, with ex-girlfriend Toukie Smith.

De Niro and Hightower first met back in 1987 and married ten years later.

Speaking about his approach to parenthood in 2009, the Taxi Driver actor stated: "One of the most important lessons I've learned in my years as a father is to keep the lines of communication open with my kids.

"I care deeply about all of them, and I have made a conscious effort to talk to and to listen to them... not to lecture them, but to tell them things I think are important for them to know."
