Christine Bleakley slams Frank Lampard ex Elen Rivas over children

Christine Bleakley has hit back at allegations by Frank Lampard's ex Elen Rivas that they refused to let her speak to her children with the footballer over Christmas.

The Daybreak host took exception to Rivas's claim on Twitter that she and Lampard worked to prevent Luna, 6, and 4-year-old Isla from contacting their mum on a festive break to New Delhi.



Rivas wrote on Christmas Eve: "Sad a father would deliberately stop his children from speaking to their mother over Christmas. You would have thought the girlfriend would have a little maternal understanding..;(."

Bleakley, who became engaged to Lampard in June, responded by retweeting a post from a colleague saying that the model was "up to [her] old tricks again, telling lies".

"I'd happily put the record straight but really don't think twitter is a place to do it when children are involved," she said, before retweeting more messages of support from her followers.

Bleakley claimed earlier this month that she never discusses having children with Lampard.

The couple got together in October 2009, 11 months after Lampard ended his engagement to Rivas after seven years together.
