Kim Kardashian ex Kris Humphries: 'Booing is a motivation'

Kris Humphries has said that he finds booing to be a motivation.

The basketball player has been taunted by fans for his infamous divorce from reality star Kim Kardashian since returning to the court.

However, Humphries insisted that he does not find the booing to be distracting while playing.

"People are yelling at you. You know you have to go and perform, go and play hard. They want to have a reason to say something, so you have to try to not give them that reason," Humphries told the New York Post. "It makes it a hostile environment and it's kind of fun to play in that environment."

The athlete's coach Avery Johnson admitted that he is baffled by the treatment that Humphries has received thus far.

"I don't know why," Johnson said. "I'm trying to figure out, what did he do? I'm serious. Maybe because I don't follow reality TV, I don't know all the ins and outs of it but it's pretty hilarious to me. I don't know if they even know why they're booing him."

Humphries signed a contract extension with the New Jersey Nets earlier this month.
