Steven Tyler engagement confirmed by his jeweler?

American Idol judge Steven Tyler's rumoured engagement to girlfriend Erin Brady has apparently been confirmed by his jeweler.

Brady was spotted wearing a diamond engagement ring over the weekend, fueling reports that she and Tyler are planning to tie the knot.

Jewellery designer Loree Rodkin has now claimed that she personally designed the ring for Tyler.

Rodkin revealed to Us Magazine: "Having made Steven's jewellery for so many of the past years it was an honour to be part of his future... with all my love to Steven and Erin."

The ring apparently features a 5 carat diamond and a micro pave diamond on a platinum base, according to the website.

As of Wednesday night (December 28), Tyler was still refusing to comment on his possible engagement.

The couple's alleged marriage plans have reportedly angered Tyler's family, who are said to dislike Brady.

The Aerosmith singer has been married twice before, to model Cyrinda Foxe and Teresa Barrick.

Tyler also fathered actress Liv Tyler with his former girlfriend Bebe Buell.

American Idol returns with its two-hour season premiere on Wednesday, January 18 on Fox.
