Ronnie Corbett 'to be awarded CBE in Queen's New Year's honours'

Ronnie Corbett is to be named in the Queen's New Year's honours list, it has been reported.
The Two Ronnies comedian will be recognised for his contribution to showbusiness and charity work, according to The Sun.
The 81-year-old is involved in Comic Relief and lifeboat organisation the RNLI as well as other causes.

Corbett was awarded an OBE in 1979 alongside on-screen partner Ronnie Barker, who died in 2005.
Born in 1930, his career was launched on The Frost Report on the 1960s. He also appeared in sitcom Sorry!.
Previous CBE recipients such as Elton John and Bruce Forsyth have gone on to be given knighthoods.
