Will Young: 'I'll be a strict father'

Will Young has predicted that he will become "a strict dad".

The 'Jealousy' singer admitted that he struggles to cope when children start "screaming" in his presence.

"I hate noisy kids. I'd be quite a strict dad I think," he told Bang Showbiz. "If we were noisy we were told to shut up.

"I love kids, don't love screaming kids. If my nephew and niece start screaming, it's bad. Their screams go straight through you."

The 32-year-old added that he is hoping to start a family within the next decade and has already been 'practising' parenthood by getting a pet.

"I do still want kids - I think when I'm in my 40s," he said. "At the moment, having the puppy is good practice."

Young admitted earlier this week that he finds his Pop Idol winner's singles "really awful".
