Katherine Jenkins, Gethin Jones split over her 'demanding goals'

Katherine Jenkins allegedly split with fiancé Gethin Jones after their relationship was damaged by "very demanding goals".
The couple announced their separation on Friday (December 30) following a ten-month engagement, with Jenkins saying on Twitter that they were "both beyond broken-hearted".
Sources have now claimed that the pair grew apart as Jenkins put off the wedding and their plans to have children in order to concentrate on her career.
"Katherine has set herself very demanding goals," a member of her publicity team told the Daily Mail. "She desperately wants to establish herself as a bona fide international star, particularly in America.
"It requires great dedication, single-mindedness and an awful lot of time away from home. You try to keep all the balls in the air, but inevitably something has to give."
A close friend added: "I think, in the end, Gethin just got tired of asking her [to set a wedding date]. Katherine is upset - they both are - but she's throwing herself into work as usual."
Jenkins said prior to parting ways with Jones that the couple would give up their careers to start a family.
