The Cheers actress unveiled the weight loss plan on Sunday (January 1), challenging people to lose weight by dancing for 100 consecutive days.
"I want everyone to experience some version of Dancing with the Stars," Alley told People.
The 60-year-old appeared on the hit ABC reality show in early 2011, taking second place with professional dance partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy.
"People don't have to do monotonous, zombie workouts that are boring," she explained. "The thing about dancing is that it's free and you can do it anywhere and any time.
"I've got to make [John] Travolta dance with me," Alley continued. "Jonathan Knight is going to dance with me. I have a whole fleet of people who said they would dance with me, so I'm excited."
In November, the actress confessed that she struggles to maintain her recent 100lb weight loss, claiming maintenance is the hardest part.
Alley has said that she found being overweight was a terrible experience, explaining that she often felt lethargic when heavier.
