Lindsay Lohan 'trespasser' claims to be friends with her 'stalker'

The man arrested for trespassing on Lindsay Lohan's property has a connection to the star's alleged stalker David Cocordan, a report claims.

The Mean Girls actress was confronted by Lonnie Short at her California home on New Year's Day and alerted the authorities after he refused to leave.

It has since been reported by TMZ that Short claimed to be friends with Cocordan and declared that he "needed to explain some things" when he knocked on the 25-year-old's door.

Lohan was granted a two-year restraining order against Cocordan in June, less than a month after she took out a temporary order on the obsessed fan.

The 25-year-old said she feared for her life after Cocordan spent four years following her and repeatedly threatened to kill her.

It was revealed in June that Cocordan also posed as Lohan's fiancé at the time of her theft case in order to reach presiding Judge Stephanie Powers.

Sources claim Lohan is looking to boost security at her home and hire a full-time bodyguard following the most recent intrusion.

Short is currently in police custody on a $1,000 (£641) bail.
