David Beckham has turned down an offer to join Paris Saint-Germain football club.
The Los Angeles Galaxy player was invited to become part of the French team but declined for "family reasons", reports French daily L'Equipe.
Team president Nasser al-Khelafi was said to be "disappointed" by Beckham's decision, though it was understood that the star wishes not to move wife Victoria Beckham and their four children from their home in California.

PSG sporting director Leonardo said in a statement: "It's a shame. But the well-being of his family in Los Angeles and the desire to not change everything in his life weighed heavily."
Beckham's five-year contract with Los Angeles Galaxy ended on Saturday (December 31).
Earlier this month, Beckham said that he is flattered that football teams still want him, revealing that his next contract is likely to be his last.
It was recently reported that Oxford and Cambridge universities are battling it out to secure Beckham for an upcoming union speech.
