Russell Brand 'told Katy Perry she wasn't funny on Saturday Night Live'

Russell Brand was reportedly extremely critical of estranged wife Katy Perry's career.
Brand filed for divorce from Perry in December after just over one year of marriage, citing "irreconcilable differences" as the reason behind the split.

According to Us Weekly, Brand was less than supportive of Perry's success and failed to turn up to concert dates and other appearances.
A source told the publication that Brand even refused to appear with Perry when she hosted Saturday Night Live in December 2011, and later criticised her performance on the sketch performance show.
"There were so many times when he wasn't there," the insider explained. "[After SNL], he told her that she wasn't that funny. That really hurt."
Brand is also said to have only begrudgingly attended the final show of Perry's enormously successful 'California Dreams' Tour, with a witness revealing: "He was totally uninterested and seemed annoyed he was there. I don't think he sat through one song."
It has been reported that Perry and Brand's divorce came as a shock to the couple's friends, who all felt that they seemed very much in love.
