Pixie Lott: 'I'm not under pressure to dress sexy to sell records'

Pixie Lott has said that she does not feel under pressure to dress "more sexily" in order to sell records.
The 21-year-old singer told Cosmopolitan that she believes people have to be comfortable in order to feel sexy.

"Sexiness definitely comes from the inside, though - if you feel comfortable, you feel sexier and more confident," she said. "But if you're wearing something you're not sure about, you end up feeling self-conscious, and I think that shows."
On changing her image, Lott said: "I've never felt any pressure to change the way I look, or to dress more sexily to sell records. In fact, as you can see, I have the opposite problem!
"I've definitely grown up a lot although I think my identity is still the same. I always had quite a strong sense of what I liked and didn't like and I don't think that has changed."

Meanwhile, the 'What Do You Take Me For?' singer told the magazine that she looks for personality in potential partners.
"It doesn't matter how good-looking you are, if you're boring and have nothing to say, or arrogant, that would be it. That's the worst," she said. "I like guys who are gentlemanly, have manners and are funny. That makes anyone better-looking."
She added: "Someone asked me once if I'd like to be a princess, and I was like, 'Yes, wouldn't any girl?' Now I think my mum quite likes me to get together with Prince Harry!"
Pixie Lott appears in the February issue of Cosmopolitan, out today (January 5).
